Do I need to have a detailed concept when getting in touch?

Not at all. All it takes is the smallest of ideas or the date of an event and we can take care of the rest to build out a concept and pitch the idea to you. From there we can have as many pre production meetings as needed to make sure that your story and idea is told exactly how you want it to be. Alternatively, if you come to us with a fully fledged concept and plan of attack, our team can dig into the details, suggest areas of improvement or creative that you may not have thought of. Either way, pre production is a crucial process to make sure that when we march in production, we can all do so in a relaxed and confident mind set - knowing that with a solid plan, we will deliver a solid product!

What if I change my mind or things change during production?

Filmmaking is essentially problem solving. We have produced hundreds of commercial and luxury event films over the years and we are well versed by now to know that every production day needs to be well thought out and planned, but open to any variables and changes that may occur on the day. Sudden inspiration on set, a change in weather, a schedule mishap, an act of the universe against our control. With our extensive background in documentary filmmaking, we have honed our adapting skills which ultimately means we are alway ready and able to switch courses if the production requires it from us.

How long have you been producing visuals?

We have a combined experience of over 40 years shooting video and photography. Each one of us has a background in the arts and many of us in music too, which pairs beautifully with visuals and the act of emotive, powerful storytelling (as 50% of a film is the sound!) For us all, before we were creating commercials and films for wonderful clients and brands, it was a hobby that we dedicated ourselves to getting as skilled in as possible. Every day we learn and create to improve the story.

Do you travel?

Oh we travel! We are just as happy to load up the vans and head to the high lands as we are to cross the oceans for a destination shoot. While we have covered most of the UK, we have also shot all over Europe, Africa, the USA and South America. Travelling is an essential part of filmmaking to get the locations the stories require - and we love every second of!

How long until we can receive the final product?

Typically we will deliver your film and/or content within two weeks after the last day of on set or location production. This allows us to dive into post production - Data management, editing, colour correction and grading as well as sound design with plenty of time to make sure we get the best out of every piece of footage. Quicker turnarounds can be arranged and are very common - just include that requirement during initial pre production and we can cater to your needs.

What do you supply during production?

We own all of our equipment. From full lighting set ups, cameras, lenses (spherical and anamorphic), data and storage, editing suites, backdrops, steady cams, tripods…you name it, we have it - a fully kitted out team which means that unless there is a specific piece of effect lighting required for the concept, we won’t need to add cost to your budget with rental fees. This also means that at a drop of hat, we can fire up the vans and be on set with very short notice.

Do you source Actors and Locations?

Over the years, Life is Art Visuals have become a team that has built a strong reputation. Actors want to work with us as we are professional, efficient and friendly - this means we have an advantage when casting and shortlisting talent for your production. We take care of all aspects of Actor sourcing - we will send over a shortlist along with auction tapes and our suggestions for the role, to make choosing the right actor a breeze. Locations are a similar affair. We have several trusted and extensive location agencies that we can be on the phone with and finding your dream set in minutes. We are transparent with fees and never try to make an extra on top - we just want the best location at the best price to fit your budget!

Are you fully insured?

Absolutely! Unlike the typical 2-5 million Public Liability, we process 10 million due to the high end nature of the locations and destinations we travel to.
